First Hole Stroke index 14 Par 4

On the tee Mr Gary Beckwith. The first hole is a nice gentle start, the hole measures 346 yards from the white tee, 336 from the yellow tee and 284 yards from the red tee. Not too difficult an opening as the stroke index, (14), suggests. You must be careful though of not being blocked out by the big tree on the right of the fairway. If you end up there it will be a good par.

There is a bunker running with the direction of the fairway on the left hand side about 70 yards short of the green. Once up to the green you will see it is protected by a long bunker which goes horizontally across around 3 yards short oft the green. There is a tricky pot bunker in the back left portion which should be avoided at all costs. Being a small pot bunker it is difficult to get a good stance so try not to go in. If you hit the ball long you will have to chip up over the bank at the back of the green.
